Taken in Madrid over the Summer of 2022, in the midst of a heat wave. My hotel had no air-conditioning, and I stayed on the top floor. The only way to cool down was to step outside for a cold beer and pray for a breeze, which happened to provide the perfect opportunity to walk around and snap photos at will.
My goal with this roll of film was to explore a new method of creating multiple-exposures, inspired by Picasso’s experiments with cubism. The execution in this shot is not terribly sophisticated, but the contrast and life in this fountain brings more to the photo than technique possibly could.
